Getting to the Root of the Problem
In this story International Medical Corps directs its relief efforts to provide humanitarian assistance to remote areas of Iraq. The IMC assessment team conducted focus group discussions and worked with local community leaders to gather information on key health, education, water, sanitation and infrastructure needs. Their mission proved to be a success as they are among few NGOs that have worked to rehabilitate frequently overlooked communities in this region.
